Jose Maria Lopez was never married and had no children.  He was known to be a very peaceful man, but had some very wild neighbors.  One day Jose Maria got into an confrontation with one of his neighbors. He got his weapon and was in the process of shooting his neighbor.  At the moment he pulled the trigger, his niece (Virginia Vidales) stepped in front of the weapon and yelled, “No uncle.”  Virginia died in his arms.  The shooting was ruled as accidental, but Jose Maria was never the same.
